INTERVIEW WITH BRUNO CLAVEAU DISTRIBUTION

Last weekend the Grand Prix FITASC de France Trap 1 took place in Pompiey Pays d’Albret.

Our Green Dream ecological clay target was the star of the competition thanks to Bruno Claveau, our official distributor for France, who supplied all the necessary clay targets for an exciting weekend.

Today we would like you to get to know Bruno a little better, who has kindly explained to us how he got started in the world of clay pigeon shooting and how he created his business with the distribution of Corsivia clay targets.

BRUNO CLAVEAU & BCL DISTRIBUTION

Bruno, how did you start distributing clay targets?

I entered the shooting sport market in 2002 through the ammunition business and also started selling Mattarelli traps and clay targets.

As I was present at many national and international competitions, I met a large number of shooters and shooting range owners.

In 2009, I set up BCL Distribution and, of course, continued to sell shooting clay targets.

Why did you decide to create your company, BCL distribution?

In general, I have always had this need to create.

Having acquired a wealth of experience in shooting and hunting, I had the personal and professional maturity to take on this formidable challenge.

I started on my own in 2009 and, over the years, BCL Distribution has grown and so has the staff.

BCL DISTRIBUTION AND CORSIVIA

Why did you choose Corsivia when it came to selecting a supplier of clay targets?

I chose Corsivia first and foremost for technical reasons:

• The Corsivia Olympic Innova is a resin-based, environmentally friendly clay target that is resistant to machine firing and crumbly enough to be pleasant to shoot.
• In my opinion, the Corsivia Green Dream is the best clay target, 100% natural, with the most beautiful colour and the best shooting performance.
• Corsivia is a company with a globally recognized reputation for excellence.

Do you distribute throughout France?

Yes, we supply our customers with the full range of Corsivia clay targets throughout mainland France.

For this purpose, we have two depots, one in Périgueux and one in Macon.

And what are your supply conditions?

We can deliver from 1 to 28 pallets, using a semi-trailer or a straight truck with tailgate.

For difficult terrain, we also offer the option of unloading, with a forklift mounted on the truck.

What is the delivery time of a product once the customer has placed the order?

The usual delivery time is 8 to 10 days.

GREEN DREAM AND THE GRAND PRIX OF FRANCE

As you know, this past weekend, the Grand Prix of France was held with our Green Dream ecological clay target. What advantages do you think the shooters that they had not used before found in the competition ?

Firstly, the Green Dream clay target is a high competition target and is therefore different from a traditional clay target for the following reasons:

• It offers better visibility, making it easier to follow the target and shoot it more quickly.
• It has an exceptional breakability, which makes it possible to break the pan with less lead, which is important when the stack is not centred. Leads on the edge of the pile break the pan, whereas with a standard model, it would be 0!
• Their trajectories are always regular.
• With the Green Dream ecological clay target, we estimate an average improvement in scores of 2 to 3 targets out of 200.

What do you think are the advantages of the Green Dream over other targets on the market?

Unlike other targets made from petroleum-based resins, Green Dream is made from 100% natural materials, which is essential to preserve the shooting range and the future of our sport.

GREEN DREAM OPINIONS

Do you regularly receive or have you received feedback from your customers about the performance of the Green Dream ecological clay target? What do they appreciate most about this target?

To hear shooters say that they are willing to pay more to shoot a Green Dream target is the best compliment I have ever received.

Shooters love the breakability of the Green Dream and its beautiful orange colour, which greatly enhances visibility.

Have you noticed any increase in demand for this product lately?

Demand is rising slightly, but is still somewhat held back by the price difference with traditional targets.

What recommendations or advice would you give to customers who are considering using the Green Dream clay target for the first time?

I always advise my customers to use the Green Dream target for Universal, Olympic and DTL competitions. It is in these Trap disciplines that they will fully appreciate the advantages of the Green Dream target to satisfy the maximum number of shooters.

Anything else you would like to add?

Whether we are champions or beginners, we play the sport for the pleasure of perfecting our aim, session after session, and the Green Dream target is a solution to improve our scores and, above all, to enjoy watching the target turn to dust.

Bruno, comment avez-vous commencé à distribuer des plateaux de tir ?

Je suis arrivé dans le marché du tir sportif en 2002, par le biais de la munition et j’ai commencé à vendre des plateaux et des machines de la marque Mattarelli.

Etant présent sur de nombreuses compétitions nationales et internationales, j’ai rencontré un nombre important de tireurs et présidents de stands de tir.

En 2009, j’ai créé BCL Distribution et ai naturellement continué à commercialiser les plateaux de ball-trap.

Pourquoi avez-vous décidé de créer votre entreprise BCL distribution?

D’une manière générale, j’ai toujours eu ce besoin de création.

Ayant acquis une grande expérience dans le milieu du tir et de la chasse, j’avais la maturité personnelle et professionnelle pour me lancer dans ce formidable challenge.

J’ai commencé seul en 2009 et au fil des années, BCL Distribution a grandi et l’effectif aussi.

Pourquoi avez-vous choisi Corsivia pour la sélection d’un fournisseur de plateaux de tir ?

J’ai choisi Corsivia, tout d’abord pour des raisons techniques :

• Corsivia Olympic Innova est un plateau écologique, fabriqué à base de résine, qui est à la fois, résistant en machine et suffisant friable, pour être agréable au tir.
• Corsivia Green Dream est, selon moi, le plateau 100% naturel, ayant la plus belle couleur et le meilleur comportement au tir.

Nous proposons, à nos clients, toute la gamme Corsivia.

Nous assurons la fourniture de plateaux sur tout le territoire France métropolitaine.

Pour cela, nous avons deux dépôts, situés à Périgueux et Macon.

Quelles sont les conditions d’approvisionnement ?

Nous pouvons livrer de 1 à 28 palettes, avec camion semi-remorque ou porteur avec hayon.

Pour les terrains difficiles, nous proposons également l’option de déchargement, avec un chariot élévateur embarqué sur le camion.

Quel est le délai de livraison d’un produit une fois que le client a passé sa commande ?

Le délai de livraison est d’environ 8 à 10 jours.

GREEN DREAM ET LE GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE

Comme vous le savez, le week-end dernier, le Grand Prix de France s’est déroulé avec notre plateau écologique Green Dream. Selon vous, quels avantages les tireurs de la compétition ont-ils trouvé qu’ils n’avaient pas utilisés auparavant ?

Tout d’abord, Green Dream est un plateau de haute compétition, donc différent d’un plateau « standard » :

• meilleure visibilité qui permet de mieux juger le plateau et le tirer plus rapidement
• une friabilité exceptionnelle qui permet de casser le plateau avec moins de plomb, ce qui est important lorsque la gerbe n’est pas centrée. Les plombs de bordure de gerbe cassent le plateau alors qu’avec un modèle standard, ce serait 0 !
• des trajectoires toujours régulières
• grâce à Green Dream, nous estimons l’amélioration moyenne des scores de 2 à 3 plateaux sur 200.

Quels sont, selon vous, les avantages du plateau Green Dream par rapport aux autres plateaux disponibles sur le marché ?

Contrairement aux autres plateaux écologiques, à base de résines pétrolifères, Green Dream est fabriqué avec des matériaux 100% naturels, ce qui est un essentiel pour préserver le stand de tir et l’avenir de notre sport.

OPINIONS SUR LE GREEN DREAM

Recevez-vous régulièrement ou avez-vous reçu des commentaires de vos clients sur les performances du plat biologique Green Dream ? Qu’apprécient-ils le plus à propos de ce plat ?

Entendre les tireurs dire qu’ils sont prêts à payer plus cher pour tirer Green Dream est le meilleur compliment que j’ai reçu…

Les tireurs aiment la friabilité de Green Dream et la magnifique couleur orange qui améliore la visibilité.

Avez-vous constaté une augmentation de la demande pour ce produit ces derniers temps ?

La demande augmente légèrement, mais reste ralentie par le prix plus élevé de Green Dream.

Quelles recommandations ou quels conseils donneriez-vous aux clients qui envisagent d’utiliser le plateau Green Dream pour la première fois ?

Je conseille à mes clients d’utiliser Green Dream pour les compétitions de Fosse universelle, olympique et DTL. C’est dans le cadre de ses disciplines de fosse, qu’ils pourront totalement apprécier les avantages du plateau Green Dream et satisfaire un maximum de tireurs.

Que l’on soit champion ou débutant, nous pratiquons ce sport pour le plaisir de perfectionner son tir, séance après séance, et Green Dream est une solution pour améliorer ses scores et surtout prendre du plaisir à voir le plateau finir en poussière.
